All program missing windows xp

Since it cannot find these files the program stops and these components are not added. If anyone has any idea what might have happened and how to correct this please let me know. Last edited: Jan 24, RK , Jan 24, Plaphon , Jan 24, Thank you for your help. I went to the site and tried applying the components individually for the Accessories and other components too.

I do not know why those other files were missing or what they were needed for. I am posting an attachment jpg captured from my "search results" of where i folders exist. Just don't forget that you are still in the All users section.

There are still two more folders on your hard disk that make up the list in your All Programs menu :. It only takes two clicks of the mouse to get there : right-click your Start button and select "Explore". You have landed in an Explorer window that show the items that are on your personal "All Programs" menu, and not on that of the other users. These are also the items that are above the horizontal line.

The items in the subfolder "programs" are displayed below the horizontal line in the "All Programs" menu. In these two folders it is safe to add or delete any items that you want, it won't be reflected in the other user's "All Programs".

Now that you have cleaned out the unneeded items from your All Programs list, finish the job by sorting the list by name.

Doing so will make it easier to find your programs on the list. To sort by name : click the Start button, click "All Programs", right-click any item on the list and select "Sort by Name".

The symptoms you describe are those displayed by a computer infected with the Navidad virus. Miz ,. Thanks Hi, I am thanks full to u for reply, However , I used system restore and problem resolved , Is it still to be understood that there was a virus?

If so, then it's possible that the virus was also backed up and restored. As Brett has already suggested, you've got a virus. And as mentioned, if you're using the restore feature Daizy ,. Feedback Thankyou both of u for guidance , sorry had tried but no virus detected, need to know should i run it in existing working condition or revert back to infected condition by restoring. Could u give thought to possibillity on missing dll shared file leading to this problem,if so what check should be performed.

Bye Panchal. Hi panchal We'll have to take your word on it that you're not infected
